Email service provider GetResponse has introduced an app that allows small business owners to create videos, animated slide shows and photo collages and promote them on social media.

Beam is designed to help firms that lack the time, budget and skills to develop visual content, the company says.

Novices can insert photos and images into any of 150 templates and customize them according to their brand needs, it adds. They can also upload them to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. 

In addition, Beam provides analytics for tracking performance of online marketing campaigns, GetResponse says.

SMBs have a choice of a free basic app or a subscription model, Beam Pro, that has more advanced features and costs $9.99 per month.

GetResponse helps companies with email marketing, landing pages, webinars, CRM and marketing automation.
