Ad agency Ueno is "putting its money where its mouth is" by introducing a philanthropic program to donate $1 million over the next 10 years, says agency founder/CEO Haraldur ‘Halli’ Thorleifsson.
Thorleifsson said he guarantees the distribution of at least this amount, regardless of his agency's performance. “We’re fortunate to be in a position where we can lend a helping hand,” he says. “Supporting the causes we care about is deeply ingrained in Ueno’s DNA, and as we continue to grow, we will continue to give more.”
This Bueno program will distribute $100,000 annually to "provide people with the resources they need to help solve important issues at hand and is all about helping good people do good things," he says. "We aren't necessarily out to save the world, but want to give money that can impact people in big ways."

The two main channels to receive funds are either by internal nominations from
the 60-person agency or through a brief form via the agency’s website.
No single organization will receive the entire annual amount, with the
agency allocating money on a case-by-case basis, ranging from assisting Planned Parenthood to sponsoring individuals to enable them to attend conferences.
This year, the agency has provided funds to help the UN fight violence against women in Iceland.
