Email Provider MessageGears Debuts Cross-Channel Marketing Tool

MessageGears is moving beyond email to offer new cross-channel tools to enterprise B2C marketers.

The new service allows large-scale brands — the ones that MessageGears calls “the Super Senders” — to orchestrate cross-channel campaigns, using their internal data to reach customers at their channel of choice, the company says. It also eliminates the need to jump between systems and UIs to shift focus on a particular channel, it says.

It addition, the platform integrates mobile push and SMS into one interface. Marketers can create all the elements of a campaign in one place, and determine which version to send a customer based on behavior, preferences and other variables, according to MessageGears.

A visual orchestration tool is also being offered, which gives users control over the customer journey. The firm notes that consumers don't always take a linear path, and the new feature enables brands to offer flexibility while allowing them to make changes to existing workflows without starting from scratch, the company adds.

MessageGears is also offering new flexible mobile options, based on a SDK-less approach. Developers can avoid bogging down their mobile apps with additional bloat, the company says.

Moreover, the tool provides push functionality through an integration with Urban Airship, it adds.
