IEEE GlobalSpec, a provider of services for industrial marketers, has launched a platform for SMBs.
IEEE GlobalSpec Catalyst is designed to simplify the process of setting up targeted email and nurturing campaigns, the company says.
The firm describes the product as a Marketing as a Service (MaaS) platform for the small and midsize business industrial market.
The goal is to provide an affordable way for those B2B firms to “nurture and grow relationships with their unique audiences,” states Pete Hoelscher, chief operating officer of IEEE GlobalSpec.
The automated service allows users to access and segment audiences; create targeted contact lists for campaigns; select customizable templates and analyze the results of a specific effort, the firm says.
Research conducted by IEEE GlobalSpec last year shows that almost 90% of industrial engineers rate email newsletters as valuable, and 27% say it is very valuable.
In addition, half of engineers surveyed subscribe to two or three newsletters.
However, 57% describe supplier/vendor websites as very valuable and 55% say the same about search engines. Moreover, 37% favor technical trade publications 37% and 37% trade shows.
IEEE GlobalSpec is a community and content resource built by and for engineers, the company says. The audience also includes technical professionals.
