Former Turner Executive Collins Heads To Fox News Media

Former Turner and CNN executive Jeff Collins has been named executive vice president, advertising sales for Fox News Media, the group that runs Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network and Fox News Digital.

The move was made in the wake of Marianne Gambelli being promoted to president of advertising sales of the Fox Corp.

Fox Corp. relaunched as a new company in March, in the wake of 21st Century Fox's deal to sell half of its TV and film businesses to Walt Disney.

Collins will report to Gambelli.

Fox News Channel is the major part of Fox News Media. For the period May 2018 through May 2019, Fox News Channel pulled in $1.1 billion in national TV advertising, according to iSpot.tv. It has been the top cable TV network in terms of total viewing in prime time and daytime ratings for several years.

Most recently Collins was Chief Revenue Officer of digital advertising tech company, Viant Technology, where he oversaw all revenue for the company, including Specific Media, Vindico, Myspace and Xumo. He had been at the company since 2014.

Before that, he was with TV network group Turner for almost two decades, where he was senior vice president, sales and marketing, overseeing East Coast sales for CNN, HLN, CNN Airport and CNN Digital.

The announcement says East Coast sales represents 70% of the revenue across all CNN businesses.
