Wunderman Thompson Solidifies NY Leadership Team

Wunderman Thompson is appointing a new executive leadership team in New York just months after the NY-based shop laid off about 25 staffers in the aftermath from parent company WPP merging J. Walter Thompson and Wunderman.

Under the new Executive Leadership Team, Sherine Kazim is named Chief Experience Officer to oversee the agency's Customer Experience practice and develop products and services designed to scale across the digital platforms and physical spaces. The 20-year industry veteran has been mostly working as a consultant in recent years, and her roster of past clients include EA, Google, LG, CAVA, Walmart, and the Obama Presidential Center Museum. 

Helder Santos, who became president of Wunderman New York last May, is promoted to Chief Client Officer to shape what the agency calls "engagements" in order to drive growth for clients.

Former Possible New York senior vice president of operations Michael Asaro is named Chief Operations Officer to manage all New York-area clients. Monique Sample, former director talent management at Wunderman, is appointed to the similar role of director of talent management to deliver core human resources services. 

Ingrid Bernstein shifts from executive strategy director at J. Walter Thompson New York to Chief Planning Officer. 

Andy Jacobs is named Chief Technology Officer and  Will Sandwick and Arun Kumar are named Co-Chief Data Officers.  

All executives report directly to Joe Crump, who was named CEO Wunderman Thompson New York. In March.
