Sky's much-applauded decision to allow Channel 4 to broadcast the Cricket World Cup final saw the exciting final, won by England, hit a peak of audience of 4.6m.

that was still below the audience that watched England's women football team play in the recent World Cup semi-final and was half the peak audience that tuned into the Wimbledon final.
