Reuters Taps Michael Young As CTO

As Chief Technology Officer, Michael Young will oversee technology strategy at Reuters, including “technology development, architecture, platforms, testing and operational resiliency,” according to the company.

He takes on the role beginning August 6. Young will report to Michael Friedenberg, president of Reuters.

“The impact of technology within Reuters is of critical importance in how we serve our customers,” Friedenberg stated.

He added that Young’s experience “will be a significant asset as we further modernize our organization and deliver coverage of the real world in real time.”

Last month, Reuters hired Josh London, former global CMO of IDG Communications, as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Now the company has two new faces on its executive team.
