MIGUEL "MIKE" PONS has been named senior director of corporate development at The Weather Channel Companies. In this position, he will lead the strategic planning and
corporate development initiatives for the company’s enterprise-wide growth efforts. He will also have responsibility for the development and execution of key strategies and initiatives for the
company's cable/satellite networks, Internet, new media, and emerging technologies sectors. Most recently, Pons was director of research and strategic planning at the TeleFutura Television Network of
Univision Communications.
