In some confusing news from the BBC, apparently Ofcom is to be handed new powers to fine video-sharing apps and websites that do not protect children from harmful content. The move is expected to take
place at the end of next month and is in line with EU law. However, if the UK leaves the EU at the end of October, it is not clear whether Ofcom's new powers will be retained.
