'The Hill' Names Peter D. Greenberger Publisher

Politics and policy publication The Hillhas named former Twitter and Google executive Peter D. Greenberger its new publisher.

Greenberger will report to Richard D. Beckman, president of The Hill, which is based in Washington, D.C

“In an era of toxic political media coverage, The Hill stands alone as a uniquely bipartisan pillar of the media landscape,” stated Greenberger. “I’m honored at this important time to help lead the commercial charge for this iconic brand.”

He succeeds Jack Rotherham, who was tapped just last year to serve as The Hill’s publisher.

Most recently, Greenberger was founder-CEO of Forest Hills Consulting, where he advised technology startups in the advocacy space on digital strategies, content distribution and business development.

Greenberger also spent seven years at Twitter, serving as global director of news partnerships. There, he developed partnerships with media outlets to drive audience reach, revenue and innovation on the social platform. 

He also served as director of global brands and agencies at Twitter, overseeing relationships with global advertising partners, specifically in the APAC and MENA regions.

Earlier, Greenberger worked at Google as head of industry, public sector. He led Google’s first political advertising team.

    As an avid daily reader of The Hill, I'm surprised by Peter Greenberger's comment that "The Hill stands alone as a uniquely bipartisan pillar of the media landscape.”
