'The Dodo,' Resolve Partner On Video Series For New Dog Owners

The Dodo is partnering with pet mess brand Resolve on “Pet School,” a four-part video series created for new dog owners. The series marks Resolve Brands’ entry into the branded content space with “Pet School” signifying its first campaign.

The “Pet School” curriculum appears across The Dodo’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram channels, in addition to a dedicated hub on The Dodo’s website. Pet owners can also download a written set of instructional tips from The Dodo site.

The four custom videos included in each course are released biweekly. The first set is available today. A “Pet School” experiential dog graduation event will take place in Los Angeles this fall.

“Pet School” courses focus on someone who has just adopted a new dog, in addition to classes and key takeaways.

For example, “Psych 101” teaches viewers about training best practices, while “Orientation” helps pet owners to acclimate dogs into their home and get along with other animals. “Home Economics” focuses on baking dog treats and “Fashion 101” offers suggestions for buying dog apparel for different types of weather.

“We have been working extensively with parents of new and older animals to determine their greatest needs in maintaining a harmonious household. That’s when we knew we needed to go beyond cleaning tips and tricks and be able to offer training education to address all aspects of welcoming new pets into your home,” said Jenna Paquin, Resolve brand manager.

“This program offers comprehensive information beyond how our products fit into the everyday lives of all families with pets.”

“Pet School”s launch follows a slew of programming news from The Dodo in July.

Last month, the brand landed an unscripted series for kids with Netflix, debuted a kids vertical on its YouTube Channel and announced an IGTV series for teens focused on the pets of influencers.
