Evident ID Inc. has launched a product to help firms comply with the right to access rules contained in the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). 

The new tool, Verified Data Request, allows brands to verify the identities of people who make data access requests, the company says.   

Based on machine learning and AI, the product ensures GDPR and CCPA compliance by preventing access requests until the ID is verified through document scanning, selfies and/or corroboration from multiple sources, the company says.

Evident ID says it used data from over 6,500 sources to verify subjects.
