HOWARD MITTMAN has been promoted to National Advertising Manager from Northeast Sales Manager of Popular Science. In this newly created position, Mittman will oversee the sales effort nationally. Mittman joined Popular Science as an account manager in 2003. Also, CHRISTY ELLINGER has been promoted from senior manager, events and promotions to creative services director, overseeing all marketing, events, business development and promotions. Ellinger joined Popular Science in 2002 from World Publications, where she served as the promotion and merchandising manager for Saveur and Garden Design magazines.
