Kantar is in talks with Adam Crozier, the former CEO of the UK’s television network ITV and ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi, to take the helm of the research giant, sources familiar with the situation have confirmed.
Crozier would succeed Eric Salama, the longtime CEO of the company, who announced he was stepping down in December shortly after WPP sold a 60% stake in the firm to Bain Capital.
Salama is staying on in an advisory role and is expected to join the Kantar board as a non-executive director.
Word of the talks with Croizer broke in the UK press over the weekend.
Crozier, who turns 56 this month, ran ITV from 2010 to 2017. He was CEO at Saatchi in the 1990s before leaving to run the UK’s Football Association for a couple of years, and then on to the ITV role.
