Jaguar Land Rover Shows 'Autonomy Ready' Electric Car

Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled a new concept vehicle as part of the automaker’s Destination Zero project.

The Project Vector vehicle is portrayed as an advanced, flexible, multi-use vehicle that is “autonomy ready.”

“Through this project, we are collaborating with the brightest minds in academia, supply chain and digital services, to create connected, integrated mobility systems, the fundamental building blocks for Destination Zero,” stated Jaguar Land Rover CEO Prof Sir Ralf Speth.

The vehicle is designed for cities with the battery and drivetrain components in a flat floor, to allow a variety of uses.

The interior cabin space can accommodate seating configurations for private, shared use or commercial applications, such as last-mile deliveries, according to Jaguar Land Rover.

I'm going out on a limb here and take a stab that "Destination ZERO" is the goal of sales on this product ??
But why aren't the "brightest minds in academia" asking the people if this is something that the consumer wants?   Not too Bright, that's why.  They are more concerned about the technology and not the "practicalogy"

It's still a concept at the moment, Mark.

A "Concept" to me is an idea, or at best , has a paper trail of design and function.
When these companies invest Millions and billions on a "concept" , it takes it from the idea arena into the factory.................jus' sayin'
