Analytics firm LexisNexis Risk Solutions has closed its acquisition of Emailage, a provider of fraud prevention tools. 

Emailage helps firms assess fraud risks by utilizing email address metadata, a global contributor network and machine-learning algorithms. In addition, it builds predictive risk scores tied to customer email addresses. 

“This acquisition will enhance and expand our email data intelligence to provide our customers a more comprehensive view of risk with minimal friction for their customers," states Rick Trainor, CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Business Services.

Founded in 2012, Emailage is based in the Phoenix area and also has a presence in Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. It will be part of LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ business services group.

LexisNexis, part of RELX, provides analytics and decision tools. It is headquartered in Atlanta.
