Dentsu Postpones Release Of First-Quarter Earnings

Dentsu confirms that it is postponing release of its first-quarter earnings results because the turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has caused delays in some of the company’s accounting procedures.

The Tokyo-based advertising and marketing holding group, which has over 1,000 separate companies across the globe, had initially planned to release first-quarter results in mid-May. An alternative date has not yet been set.

Most of the major holding groups will have reported first-quarter results by the end of this week when Omnicom, WPP and MDC Partners are scheduled to report.

IPG and Publicis Groupe reported earlier this month.

Like other companies, Dentsu has withdrawn full-year earnings guidance for the time being.
