Most consumers expect to continue and possibly increase their online shopping once the COVID-19 pandemic is over, according to statistics released last week by Namogoo.
Of the individuals
polled in April, 91% had made at least one online purchase that month. In addition, 14% had purchased online for the first time, and 56% had increased their online spend.
Going forward, 40%
expect to spend over $100 online per month.
The most popular product types were:
- Personal care — 55%
- Household —51%
- Food — 47%
- Clothing and accessories — 47%
- Electronics — 33%
- Other items from a supermarket— 32%
