Structured Social Acquires Boundless Labs In Ecommerce Move

Growth marketing firm Structured Social has acquired email and retention agency Boundless Labs in a bid to become a significant ecommerce player, the company revealed on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.  

The purchase comes after several months of negotiation. 

The expanded company will support e-commerce and traditional marketing, including email execution, paid media management, video creation, website and graphic design and consulting, the firm says.  

The merger “solidifies our future in the space as we don't have to rely on top of funnel traffic to drive business results," states Nick Shackelford, co-founder and partner of Structured Social.  

Both teams will operate under the Structured Social brand.  

In two years in business, Boundless Lab's has generated over $35 million in email revenue, the company claims. It serves several e-commerce brands, along with CBD+Cannabis companies, and also specializes in text.  

Structured Social works with product brands that generate low 7-figures to mid 8-figures in revenue, it says. 

The acquisition allows the firm to “weather an uncertain time and position us to come out even stronger than when we entered," states Jake Schmidt, another Structured Social co-founder and partner

On its website, Structured Social refers to itself a “forecaster of paid growth specializing in deep platform strategies that fuse the worlds of day trading, long term planning, social and multi-media.”

It continues that if works in the verticals of feminine care, fashion, ports and consumer tech.  

The firm’s clients include Ibex, The Chive, Rove Concepts, Foster Grant, Human Rights Foundation and other digitally native brands.
