Will Trump Announce 2024 Presidential Run On Inauguration Day Next Month?

If you thought the Lincoln Project’s work was done after it helped Joe Biden dethrone Trump in November, think again.

I just received an email from LP co-founder Reed Galen indicating that nothing could be farther from the truth.

“We will do everything in our power to ensure he never steps foot in the White House again,” Galen wrote, noting speculation that Trump may announce on Inauguration Day 2021 that he’s throwing his hat in the ring for the 2024 presidential contest. He collected more than 70 million votes in the November election, so to say his candidacy would be viable is an understatement.

Trump is doing everything in his power to make the transition of power to Biden as difficult as possible — unprecedented behavior on the part of an outgoing president, at least in my lifetime.

And he’s basically trying to dismantle America’s democratic process, so I’m glad Galen and his team remain on the case.

Clearly, their barrage of withering attack ads on Trump during the campaign had an impact. (The Lincoln Project was named MediaPost’s Creative Agency Of The Year a couple of weeks ago.)

“Trump will never admit that he lost the election,” Galen stated. “He’ll never acknowledge or accept responsibility for the death and destruction that occurred on his watch — nor will he admit to the corruption, pillaging and fraud committed at his command.”

“We all must be committed to crushing Trumpism, regardless of Trump’s second-term aspirations. The future of our Republic depends on it,” Galen added. “We guarantee that if Trump decides to run again and continue to pollute our politics, upend our norms, and tarnish our democracy, he will have to go through us.”

Now them’s fightin’ words.

I’m not the only one Galen wrote to. He’s looking for donations for the next round of the battle against Trump’s tyranny. If you feel like contributing, check out the LP site.
