
Bill Kolb, the new global CEO at Interpublic Group's McCann
Worldgroup isn’t wasting any time putting his new leadership team together.
The Interpublic agency network announced today that Chris Macdonald has been appointed Chairman & CEO of
flagship agency brand McCann, and Harjot Singh has been promoted to Global Chief Strategy Officer of McCann.
Macdonald, who previously served as President, Advertising and Allied
brands, for McCann, and will now focus on leading the advertising network, along with Singh, previously Chief Strategy Officer for McCann Worldgroup EMEA.
The appointments follow
word last month of several other senior team appointments including Suzanne Powers who was elevated to Global President at the agency network, adding to her ongoing duties as Chief Strategy Officer at
McCann Worldgroup.

Also last month McCann marketing unit MRM appointed Ronald Ng executive vice president and Global Chief Creative Officer. He joined from Dentsu’s Isobar where he was
Global Chief Creative Officer.
Earlier the agency confirmed that Grant Theron would succeed Kolb in the role of CEO for Commonwealth//McCann, the agency network’s dedicated unit
for Chevrolet.
IPG announced in October that Kolb had been anointed to succeed Harris Diamond as CEO McCann Worldgroup effective January 1.
