Publicis New York is shifting its leadership team following the Groupe’s recent announcement of Le Truc creative collective.
Now, Erica Roberts is elevated to Chief Creative Officer to oversee all creative at the agency, including Power of One accounts with clients such as Citi, Walmart and The J.M. Smucker Company. Previously, Roberts was Executive Creative Director for PSOne, the bespoke Publicis Groupe solution for The J.M. Smucker Company, where she led the integrated team who delivered the widely-respected “JIF vs. GIF” creative campaign, as well as recent work for Folgers, 1850 Coffee, S&P Global, Café Bustelo and Smucker’s Jelly & Preserves. She will report to Carla Serrano, Chief Strategy Officer, Publicis Groupe and CEO, Publicis New York.
Roberts replaces Andy Bird, who will become co-founder and CCO for Publicis Groupe’s new creative collective, Le Truc. In this new role, he will work collaboratively with the Le Truc leadership team to oversee both new business and creative briefs that span the Groupe in the U.S.
Earlier this month, the Groupe revealed this new creative umbrella that will bring together 600 creatives, strategists and producers under one roof. Groupe leaders are still formalizing the structure as well as the specifics behind this new venture. The intent behind the Le Truc is that it works across the Groupe to bring together its talent and creative expertise, while keeping client relationships within individual brand agencies.
