Gone But Not Forgotten: The Harry Keeshan Integrity Award

Media agency pioneer Harry Keeshan may be retired, but he won’t be forgotten.

Omnicom Media Group's PHD has established the Harry Keeshan Integrity Award, which will be bestowed each December to a worthy recipient within the agency's ranks.

According to the company, the recipient embodies “the genuine character” of PHD’s former president of integrated investment. Recipients of this award are role models for their teams and for the agency.

“They lead with compassion, care, trust and resilience, prioritizing opportunities for personal and professional growth. They set the standard for how to be a great partner and friend — in and out of the office. They promote the importance of authenticity, perspective, comradery and building strong relationships.”

The well-regarded Keeshan helped pioneer the media agency model from the early days of media as a standalone offer, to today’s data-driven, cross-channel investment capability that encompasses digital, programmatic, content and commerce.

He started as a page at NBC in 1980, moved into formatting daytime TV shows, sales service, affiliate relations and research before moving to legendary agency Wells Rich & Greene to work on the P&G and MCI accounts. Twenty years ago, he joined Creative Media, the predecessor of PHD, and has been helping to shape the modern media agency ever since.
