CPB Names New Global CEO

CPB is appointing Marianne Malina as Global CEO replacing Erik Sollenberg - former Global CEO who moved back to Sweden, where he's from, due to a family health issue.

Malina will join an evolving leadership team, including recently hired Chief Creative Officer, Jorge Calleja, and CPB veteran and Managing Director, Ryan Skubic.

The agency has struggled recently, losing several big accounts like Dominos. The new leadership team is tasked with getting the MDC Partners agency back on track.

Malina is a well-regarded industry veteran. In over two decades at GSD&M, she touched every department and held long-standing client relationships that helped to serve as the bedrock of the agency. Most recently she served and President and led campaigns for Southwest Airlines, Harry’s, Jeep, Wal-Mart, PetSmart, Capital One, Dodge, Popeyes, the U.S. Air Force and Pizza Hut, among others.

In 2017, Malina led the nationwide Time’s Up/Advertising initiative to take tangible action against discrimination while promoting equality and representation within the advertising industry.

She starts May 17. She will not relocate to Denver, CO to instead work from her Austin, TX home.
