The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) has announced its new leadership team that includes Unilever marketing chief Conny Braams being named deputy president, effective in December. She succeeds PepsiCo’s Phil Myers who will remain on the WFA’s Executive Committee.
The announcement is timed to this year’s Global Marketer Week 2021, which convenes remotely this Tuesday and Wednesday.
Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Mastercard, has been re-elected as president for a second term, running until April 2023.
The Brussels-based marketing trade group has also appointed for the first time a regional vice president for the Middle East: Firdaus Shariff, vice-president of marketing, communications and digital customer experience, MEA at Schneider Electric.

Lubomira Rochet, Chief Digital Officer at L’Oréal, has been named regional vice-president for Europe.
New Executive Committee appointments include: Cristina Diezhandino, Chief Marketing Officer at Diageo, Ekaterina Agafonova, global strategic sourcing director commerce at Heineken, Russell Dyer, vice president and chief of communications and government affairs at Mondelez, Aude Gandon, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Nestlé, and Fabrice Beaulieu, executive vice-president, group marketing excellence at Reckitt.
