
BlockFi, a startup financial firm that positions itself
as a link between cryptocurrencies and traditional financial services products, has launched its first-ever television and social ad campaign today that illustrates the benefits and simplicity of
using its BlockFi Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card.
Creative partners on the campaign include Anchor Worldwide, Greenpoint Pictures and Ghost + Cow. BlockFi Creative Director Dan
Hennessy oversaw the effort which includes four spots that take a humorous tack to deliver the
company’s message.
In one of the spots, for instance, a girl tolerates her dinner date, feigning excitement for the airline miles he gets (but can’t currently
use) with his "super-premium card" while she picks up the check. In another, a befuddled guy imagines space imagery while pondering how to use bitcoin. Each spot is framed with a
“who-picks-up-the-check” narrative.
