Long-time advertising and media industry marketing, strategy and media executive David Berkowitz has joined Mediaocean as senior vice president-corporate marketing and communications.
He
joins from his own consulting practice and founder of Serial Marketer, a Slack-based community for marketers he launched in 2018, and which he will continue to manage independently.
He reports
to CMO Aaron Goldman, and replaces former Vice President-Corporate Marketing and Communications Mona Khaldi in an elevated role. Khaldi left in November to join Voltus as a senior field marketing
manager.
Asked to provide a current description of the company, Berkowtiz said, "Mediaocean creates software that's used by brands and their agencies to manage their ads across
channels."
Berkowitz, a former
MediaPost columnist, has extensive experience in B2B
marketing in the advertising industry, including CMO of MRY, and served as vice president of emerging media at Dentsu International's 360i and director of marketing at Hearst's iCrossing.
