Hyundai and Kia are telling U.S. owners of almost 500,000 cars and SUVs to park outside and away from buildings, due to a possible defect that can cause the vehicles to spontaneously
catch fire. The accidents can occur even when the vehicles are not running, due to a short circuit in the anti-lock brake computer control module. Affected vehicles range are from the 2014 to 2019
model years, and include the Hyundai Santa Fe and Tucson and Kia Sportage.
