Engine Creative Taps Matt Rhodes As Chief Strategy Officer

Matt Rhodes is replacing Gen Kobayashi as Chief Strategy Officer for Engine Creative. Kobayashi is leaving the company.

Rhodes is the former head of strategy for the agency. His charge is to boost collaboration within Engine's multidisciplinary strategy teams across data, brand planning, communications, and social and influencer capabilities.

He will lead Engine's work for various clients, including the RAF, the UK Government, Cazoo and the ECB.

Rhodes joined the agency in 2015, as head of digital strategy and led the agency's successful pitch for Moneysupermarket and its award-winning work on Warburtons. At that time, Engine was known as WCRS.

Prior to joining Engine, Matt was co-founder of FreshNetworks, a  European social-media agency whose clients included Telefonica, Tesco and Jimmy Choo.
