Infobip Moves Into B2B Publishing, Buying European Developer Magazine

Cloud communications firm Infobip has acquired Netokracija, a Southern European business and tech magazine written in Croatian. Terms were not disclosed.

Infobip hopes to "strengthen the developer community by providing it with content that is ‘for developers’ and ‘by developers,’ further showcasing the value of IT in society,” states Ivan Burazin, chief developer experience officer for Infobip.

The news follows the firm’s 2021 acquisition of the Shift conference.

“With the synergy of the Infobip Shift conference and Netokracija’s high caliber content, we expand our developer community globally,” Burazin adds.

Netokracija has a twelve-member team that will now become part of Infobip's developer experience department, led by Ivan Burazin.

The magazine will remain independent editorially under editor and founder Mia Biberovi. Ivan Brezak Brkan will become Infobip's director of developer content, and will lead the company editorial team with Tena Šojer Keser.

They will create developer-focused web copy, blogs, videos, podcasts and more.

In 2020, Infobip announced it would acquire Open Market, a mobile messaging solutions provider, for roughly $300 million, giving it a larger profile in the U.S.
