
Kids wake up and get dressed for school
in a new, high-energy Macy's campaign via BBDO.
In the fast-paced ads, preteen boys and girls try on different clothes as they prepare
for school. Along the way, the ad identifies such brands as Tommy Hilfiger, Finish Line, Adidas, Levi’s and Epic Threads. The ad emphasizes kids’ freedom to choose their own look with the
tagline “Own your style.”
The spot is scored to “This And That,” from the Blah Blah Blahs.
The campaign comes as Target, Amazon and Walmart have also rolled out
2022 back-to-school ads.
And Mastercard’s SpendingPulse recently forecast 7.5% growth for U.S. back-to-school retail sales. Mastercard estimates that sales will be up 18.3% compared with
pre-pandemic 2019.
