'Drag Illustrated' Upgrades Its Print Product

Drag Illustrated magazine has reaffirmed its commitment to print by engaging Publication Printers, of Denver, for the second time.

The goal is to ensure that every subscriber gets a showpiece in their mailbox, according to Wes Buck, founder and editorial director of Drag Illustrated.

Drag Illustrated magazine is our flagship product,” Buck states. “The print magazine is the foundation that everything else we do is built on.”

Buck adds, “Racers are detail-oriented; aesthetics matter to this community.”

As part of the change, the cover and interior paper will be upgraded, and the cover will have a velvet soft-touch coating. In addition, each issue will feature an expanded page count.

The magazine will continue to be perfect bound.

The first issue printed by Publication Printers is dated September/October 2022. It will be available around Oct. 1.

Congratulations on the upgrade. As someone whose career was built on a foundation of paper, print buying, press checks, and print design I miss that part of my creative life and work.

I am still passionate about fine printing and quality design. With a background as a photographer and art director, later a creative director, and now an executive in marketing and creative, I still go out of my way to read and support those who appreciate quality printing, typesetting, and design, and I miss being part of that shrinking world of craftsmanship.

Good luck, I hope you have a very long run!
