USPS Proves Its Holiday Spirit

A U.S. Postal Service adticks off all the Christmas-themed names of U.S. towns to make the case that no one has the scope of the USPS.

“From Holiday Hills, Illinois, to Rudolph, Wisconsin…” the ad begins, showing USPS workers delivering packages. Other towns mentioned: Santa Claus, Indiana; Snowflake, Arizona; Garland, Texas; and North Pole, N.Y.

The ad, via MRM New York and McCann Worldgroup, states that the USPS is “holiday-ready.” The visuals show postal trucks trudging through snow and sunny city streets. The spot also highlights the USPS’s app, which tells you when a delivery is forthcoming.

The ad is effective in reminding consumers that the USPS serves “every address in America.”

In an attempt to woo Gen Xers, the spot is backed by Lindsay Buckingham’s “Holiday Road,” first heard in “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”
