Tax prep software firms TaxAct, H&R Block and TaxSlayer sent sensitive financial information to Meta, Facebook’s parent company, via a pixel that helps developers track user activity, The Markup states. Included were email addresses, names, income and refund amounts, according to a report in The Verge.
