McDonald’s is celebrating the Lunar New Year with an ad featuring artificial intelligence and neural radiance fields (NeRF) to create a 3D scene.
The ad, via IW Group, features viral video content creator Karen Cheng, who reminisces about spending the Lunar New Year with her family and drawing the animals of the Zodiac. “As technology got better, my imagination grew even bigger,” Cheng recalls, displaying some 3D art.
Cheng then explains that viewers can display the same art in their living room by activating the QR code displayed in the ad.
Lunar New Year is on Jan. 22. The upcoming year will be the year of the rabbit.
