Honda Promotes Marketing Executives

Phil Hruska has been promoted to senior manager of Honda Marketing at American Honda, leading general and multicultural marketing for Honda automobiles.

He replaces Jessika Laudermilk, who became assistant vice president of the marketing division at American Honda, responsible for marketing operations for both the Honda and Acura automobile brands, in November 2022.

Laudermilk replaced Ed Beadle, who became the vice president of marketing and CX (customer experience), leading marketing and public relations for both the Honda and Acura automobile brands as well as the company's digital CX  initiatives, in April 2022.

Hruska’s new responsibilities include brand and product advertising, regional digital retail marketing and supporting Honda dealer advertising associations.

Hruska joined the automaker in 2014 as the manager of national media strategy. His responsibilities grew in 2017 to include overseeing regional automobile media planning for the Honda and Acura brands in partnership with local dealer ad associations.

In 2021, Hruska became manager of the then-newly established media department, responsible for all Honda and Acura automobile marketing media strategy.

He also oversaw Honda’s gaming, music and sports marketing strategy, and led Honda’s recent expansion into the esports space, helping position Honda as a non-endemic leader in the esports and gaming segment.

Hruska’s replacement in the media department has not yet been named.

Laudermilk joined Honda in 2018 and has held a variety of positions including manager of Honda regional marketing.

Beadle has been with the automaker since 2012, when he was the first national media manager for American Honda.

Beadle’s previous positions include senior marketing manager for the Acura brand.
