Vogue's Met Gala Pulled Record Traffic This Year

Condé Nast achieved record metrics with this year’s Met Gala.  

For instance, it generated 53 million views with its third annual Met Gala livestream across 10 Vogue markets and social platforms—twice last year’s total. The average watch time was 21 minutes.

Globally, there were 1.2 billion video views across platforms, an 82% hike YoY, and 650 million social video views on U.S. channels, a 30 increase YoY. 

Site traffic hit 25.9 million unique visitors, including record traffic in Germany, India, Japan and Mexico. 

The Red Carpet Gallery became Vogue’s most read story of all time, with 3.6 million UVs s and 31 million engaged minutes.  

Digital subscriptions rose by 44% YoY, newsletter earning 100,000 new signups. 

In addition, the first two days generated 12.3 billion social impressions across platforms to #metgala, a 30% hike YoY, with 114 million engagements worldwide, a 713% rise. Vogue’s Met Gala search hub on TikTok in 70 markets achieved over 17 billion views. 

This year’s event raised nearly $22 million.
