Wavemaker Americas Chief Louisa Wong Departs For Ad Tech

Less than three years after joining GroupM’s Wavemaker as CEO for the Americas, Louisa Wong has quietly left the agency to become CEO of Extreme Reach, a 15-year-old ad tech firm best known for its digital video and CTV tracking reports.

Wong succeeds co-Founder Tim Conley, who steps down from CEO and day-to-day management of the company, but remains a member of its board.

In its boilerplate, Extreme Reach describes itself as a “global leader in creative logistics. Its end-to-end technology platform moves creative at the speed of media, simplifying the activation and optimization of omnichannel campaigns for brands and agencies with unparalleled control, visibility and insights.”

Wong joined Wavemaker in July 2020 from COO of Dentsu’s Carat U.S. unit.

She previously served in senior positions at Dentsu’s Amplifi and Amnet units.

It was not clear at presstime what Wavemaker will do with the CEO of the Americas role, but Sharb Fajrami was promoted to CEO of North America in January from CEO of the U.S.
