Who wouldn’t want a free dinner in New York City with actors Matt Damon, Zoe Saldaña, Jeremy Allen White and rapper Ludacris?
Belgian-style premium lager Stella Artois is offering 15 reservations to “The World’s Most Fascinating Dinner” in September that could be won by scanning a QR code on special-edition, 12-pack bottles and cans.
The campaign is the latest extension of the beer brand’s “Make Time for the Life Artois” campaign, which is designed to encourage off-premise dining occasions.
In this commercial from the Anomaly agency that begins airing on Memorial Day, Saldaña is enjoying a meal with Damon and Ludacris when she asks “If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?”
Ludacris then phones White and asks the same question.
“Like a culinary genius?” White says. “Definitely no actors. I think they’re all a little bit weird.” (White actually plays a chef on his FX show "The Bear.")
According to Stella Artois, on Sept. 21 “multiple world-renowned chefs will present a spin on some of New York City's most famous dishes.”
The venue for the dinner has yet to be chosen, a brand rep tells MarketingDaily.
Entries can be made via the QR code or a dedicated website until the week of Sept. 4 when the 15 dinner winners—who can attend with one guest each and receive roundtrip airfare and a hotel stay—will be chosen.
Entrants also have a chance to win instant prizes that include a $25 Uber Eats credit and Stella Artois merchandise.
