Meta Exec Joins Kia In High-Level Position

Kia America has hired a Meta marketing executive for its No.2 marketing position.

Megan Gillam is the new director, marketing strategy and operations at Kia America, where she will lead marketing strategy and operations across brand, media, retail, product, digital, social, performance marketing, customer journey, experiential and events.

She reports to Russell Wager, Kia America’s vice president of marketing. Wager could not be reached for comment.

Gillam joins the automaker from Meta, where she was product marketing director, global verticals, for three years. She led a team of global industry experts responsible for defining Meta’s business and product strategy and annual go-to-market plans to grow Meta’s platforms’ share of marketing wallet across the automotive, ecommerce and entertainment industries.

She also led global sales and cross-functional teams at Meta to develop, launch, and scale global solutions to markets and amplify local best practices and activations globally.

Gillam replaces Marisstella Marinkovic, who left Kia in March to become vice president and chief marketing officer, Nissan U.S.
