Most publishers expect to pursue digital growth in 2024, according to a study by the Alliance for Audited Media (AAM).
Of the publishers surveyed, 74% are hopeful about growing digital subscriptions and see this as an area of focus.
And 34% expect ad revenue to grow in 2024 while 29% foresee increased revenue from sponsored content. Of those surveyed, 35% will allocate resources to developing advertising solutions.
In 2023, 60% saw an increase in digital subscriptions, and 31% developed new products for advertising clients. In addition, 26% implemented cost-saving programs.
Asked if they had integrated AI into their businesses, answers were split evenly between yes, not yet, no and not sure.
