Daily Harvest Promotes January Jumpstart Home Delivery Plan

Folks may be happy leaving 2023 behind, but a recent One Poll survey from  Daily Harvest shows a lot of consumers aren’t feeling very celebratory regarding their health and diet. Just 20% of Americans polled felt their diet is "very healthy" and only 24% felt "very well" as they started the new year.

In response, Daily Harvest launched its January Jumpstart plan, which contains five days of light-preparation vegetarian frozen fruit and veggie meals. The plan contains 15 different dishes, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks, including a Strawberry and Goji Berry Oat Bowl, White Bean and Spinach Pesto Pasta and a Chickpea and Coconut Curry Harvest Bowl.

To support the new plan, the brand has launched a multimedia advertising campaign, comprised of TV (streaming, cable and network), radio, paid social and direct mail, Vice President Communications and Corporate Affairs for Daily Harvest Andrew Noyes told Marketing Daily.

In the primary spot customers from various walks of life and ethnicities, are shown receiving their Daily Harvest delivery and enjoying their meals as a voiceover explains “Daily Harvest’s Five-Day Jumpstart helps you start new habits and stick to them.”

“We know that many people are setting their food, health and wellness intentions for the new year and wanted to offer a curated plan that included five days-worth of meals to make sticking to healthy eating goals a snap,” Noyes told Marketing Daily. “We're saying no to gluten, dairy, added sugars and artificial ingredients so our customers can say yes to sustainable habit changes, curbed cravings and a return to mindful eating.”

Through the survey of 2,000 respondents commissioned by Daily Harvest, the brand also discovered insights into the popularity of GLP-1 weight loss drugs, with 37% of respondents saying they'd be “generally willing to try drugs such as Ozempic or Wegovy to lose weight.” Daily Harvest is thus set to debut GLP-1 Companion Food Collection to support the dietary needs of those on weight-loss medication. Containing dietitian-curated meals, the collection is the latest addition to Daily Harvest's Nutrition Playbooks, which include programs for those who follow Whole30 and the Mediterranean diet, among others.
