Cathy Shaffner, a 29-year veteran of Empower Media, has joined Farmington Hills, MI-based Sussman Agency as president.

Shaffner, who began her career as a media and marketing associate at Y&R in 1989, most recently served as Chief Investment Officer at Empower.

Her appointment comes as founder Alan Sussman transitions day-to-day responsibilities to a new management team headed by CEO Dino Rotondo.

In a related move, Sussman promoted Ashleigh Hollowell, a seven-year executive at SUSSMAN is being promoted to Chief Client Officer from executive vice president-account services.
