Smoothie King is jumping into the
influencer sphere with its latest partnership with Dude Perfect, a sports and comedy group on YouTube.
The chain today announced the release of the limited-edition Dude Perfect Smoothie, available nationwide. It includes a brand-new ingredient for the brand, blue spirulina, described as a nutrient-dense superfood. Also in the smoothie: pineapples, bananas, kiwi apple juice blend, protein blend and vanilla frozen yogurt.
The smoothie is available in three different 32oz. collectors’ cups, each featuring drawings of the Dudes -- along with a scannable QR Code that enters consumers into a sweepstakes that will be awarding 20,000 prizes from Mar. 12 through May 31. One grand prize winner will win a day with the Dudes at their Frisco, Texas headquarters and $10,000 in cash.

"Finding the common ground between parents and kids can be a challenge and Dude Perfect's universal appeal is something everyone can enjoy," said Marianne Radley, CMO of Smoothie King in a release. “It’s in this spirit that we set out to launch a smoothie that both parents and kids can agree on.”
For those over 40 (me included), Dude Perfects are former Texas A&M college roommates whose YouTube channels have over 60 million subscribers, with content mostly consisting of various trick shots, stereotype parodies and stunts, accordiing to Wikipedia.
Smoothie King has released a YouTube video featuring The Dudes for the new smoothie, which can be seen here and will run on broadcast and digital channels. A radio effort accompanies the video as well.
The Smoothie is available to order in-store or through the newly launched Smoothie King app.
