Now customers don’t have to
head to their local Subway to get a taste of the brand’s signature sandwich sauces. Beginning this week, four of the chain’s condiments will be available in grocery stores nationwide,
including Walmart, Kroger and Albertson's,
The new in-store offering was developed in conjunction with T. Marzetti Company, a specialty foods manufacturer that also has exclusive license
agreements for Olive Garden dressings and Buffalo Wild Wings sauces.
The 16-ounce bottled sauces were released just in time for 2024’s National Sauce Month this March. Used for dipping
or cooking, the four sauce flavors available are Sweet Onion Teriyaki, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Baja Chipotle and the “Creamy Italian MVP, a new twist on Subway's MVP Parmesan
Vinaigrette," according to Paul Fabre, the chain’s senior vice president, culinary and innovation, in a release. "

The sauces are part of the new Subway Sauce program that will support
the chain’s existing Fresh Start Scholarship Fund. The fund provides offers tuition assistance to “Sandwich Artists” -- i.e,. Subway restaurant employees.
Recipients
receive a $2,500 scholarship for use for secondary education. According to the brand, over 1,700 scholarships have been awarded since the program began.
The fund is a division of the
chain’s nonprofit arm, The Subway Cares Foundation, which is an independent 501(c)(3) organization “founded to build on the Subway brand’s legacy of giving and to make a significant
and measurable global impact,” per the website.
