BurgerFi First Chain To Tap Heinz Remix Kiosk

Now customers can develop their own condiment creativity.

BurgerFi announced that the burger brand is the first fast-casual restaurant chain to employ the Heinz Remix Machine at its very first location in Florida’s Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

The Heinz Remix Machine, which made its debut at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago last May, is “the first-ever customizable and IoT-enabled digital sauce dispenser that allows consumers to personalize their own flavor creations,” per the release. Customers can choose from over 200 potential sauce combinations, consisting of a “base” of  Heinz Ketchup Simply, Heinz Ranch, Heinz Mayo or Heinz BBQ Sauce, and additional “enhancers” such as Jalapeño, Smoky Chipotle, Buffalo and Mango. They can even select the level of “intensity:” low, medium or high.

"As a brand, we know that guests are looking for unique dining experiences, and there is nothing more distinctive than being able to create a sauce flavor profile that is custom to your craving," said Carl Bachmann, CEO of BurgerFi International.

The chain, which opened in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea in 2011 and now has over 115 locations nationwide, will launch four additional Heinz Remix machines at other Florida locations in Delray Beach, West Boca Raton and West Palm Beach in the coming months.

Upon the introduction last year of the Remix Machine, Heinz stated that it was “developed in record speed – 6 months from initial brief to the physical product.” The company added that the kiosk-like dispenser was the latest innovation from the company’s foodservice or “Away From Home” (AFH) division.
