Kardashians' Favorite Salad Chain Expands, Goes Retail With Dressing

Health Nut, the Southern California salad restaurant made famous by the Kardashian family’s obsession with the healthy food chain and its shake-able salads, is expanding with two new locations in Southern California and national distribution for its dressing.

The chain announced this week a new restaurant in Culver City, its first in central Los Angeles. A second location is soon slated for the L.A .beach city of Santa Monica.

The chain, which began as a humble vitamin shop in 1988 in a suburb of L.A., garnered public attention through the Kardashians' love of its salads, as shown on the family’s TV shows and TikTok videos showing Kardashians aggressively shaking the salads to distribute dressing. The internet exploded with memes purely on the salad shake, with perhaps the best by TikToker @yurilamasbella, in hilarious videos such as this. Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is also an investor in Health Nut.

“Expanding now with our Culver City and soon-to-open Santa Monica locations allows us to meet the increasing demand for fresh, healthy dining options, while also introducing our brand to new communities,” Steve Choi, CEO of Health Nut told Marketing Daily, also citing “new opportunities for expansion, both in terms of restaurant locations and product offerings.”

The chain’s dressings will soon be available online and in grocery outlets nationwide. The brand plans to expand its grocery offering with sauces, dips, soups, teas and more in the near future.
