Accenture Song's Droga5 Appoints Mark Green Global CEO

Ad agency Droga5, part of Accenture Song, has appointed Mark Green Global CEO.

Green is relocating to New York City to take on the new Droga5 role. Droga5’s last global CEO was Sarah Thompson, who held it for eight years until January 2022 when she was elevated to a senior role overseeing content at Accenture Song. She left the company later that year.

Coinciding with Green’s new remit, The Monkeys is being merged with Droga5 effective December 1.

Green will work alongside recently appointed global chief creative officer, Pelle Sjoenell to oversee Droga5 offices in Australia, Dublin, London, New York, São Paulo and Tokyo.

Droga5 clients include JPMorgan Chase, Molson Coors, and Tourism Australia, among others.

The Monkeys won the Film Grand Prix awards at the Cannes Lion Ad Festival this year for the Play It Safe campaign, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House. In 2023, the agency took home the Titanium Grand Prix for ‘The First Digital Nations’ for the Government of Tuvalu.

A search for Green’s successor as executive lead of Accenture Song in Australia and New Zealand is underway.
