Most QSRs tout themselves as the “official sponsor of [insert professional/college sports league or team here].” But Popeyes has called dibs on what may be the most beneficial sponsorship for fans -- at least for those watching the game at home.

The chain recently declared itself The Official Wing of Watching Football, with the commitment to “making sure every football gathering is packed with flavor and fun,” per the announcement. To drive the message home (literally), the brand has teamed up with DoorDash to bring Popeyes Wings line-up directly to fans at tailgates and watch parties.

A select few fans will win the ultimate Popeyes football experience: a Popeyes  DoorDash Wing Truck visit to their home to cater their game day watch party. The truck arrives fully fitted with games, photo opportunities, music and a “feast of Popeyes Wings and sides making you the MVP of game day.” Fans can enter to win the food truck experience through Oct. 20 at PopeyesOfficialWingTruck.com.

In addition to making stops at fan’s home, the Popeyes X Doordash Wing Truck will appear at various college tailgates across the U.S., including Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Greensboro, North Carolina; Atlanta; Tallahassee, Florida; Athens, Georgia and Columbus, Ohio. The locations and other truck appearances will be promoted on Popeye’s social media channels.

As the Official Wing of Watching Football, we're committed to being a part of every fan's experience, no matter where they choose to watch," said Bart LaCount, CMO of Popeyes in the release.

The Popeyes and Doordash collaboration goes beyond the Wing truck. The chicken QSR has created a new Tailgating Bundle, only available through DoorDash, which includes 24-piece wings, with up to four flavor selections, three regular sides, and four dipping sauces, at 25% off the regular price.
